The IWSL is a competitive, wholesome, and fun summer fastpitch softball league for collegiate-age women. Open to players from DI, DII, DIII, JUCO, NAIA, Club programs, and Post-Graduates, the league provides high-quality competition throughout June and July on top-level collegiate fields in Linn County.

Celebrating 10 Seasons of Women’s Collegiate Fastpitch Softball
The Iowa Women’s Summer League is celebrating its 10th season of women’s collegiate fastpitch softball. Since its founding, the IWSL has provided a competitive and enjoyable summer league experience for collegiate-age players from across the country.
Over 300 players representing more than 75 different colleges and programs have participated in past seasons, including athletes from NCAA Division I, II, III, JUCO, NAIA, Club programs, and Post-Graduates.
The league is designed to offer meaningful game opportunities without the commitment of formal practices. With Sunday doubleheaders played throughout June and July, the IWSL allows players to continue developing, competing, and enjoying the game in a structured yet flexible environment.

The Iowa Women’s Summer League brings together collegiate-age athletes from a wide range of programs, offering a competitive and enjoyable summer fastpitch experience. Players from DI, DII, DIII, JUCO, NAIA, Club programs, and Post-Graduates all compete on the same field.
Each season, athletes benefit from continuous batting orders, open substitutions, and consistent game opportunities—allowing every player, including pitchers, meaningful playing time throughout the summer.
